Finally...we come to the best part of God's story...its ending. (Or "non-ending", what with the New Jerusalem that appears at the end.) John the Revelator was given this vision while he was in the Spirit on the Lord's day on the isle of Patmos, and it's been the stuff of legends. People to this day still are divided over whether it's talking about the situation with Christians and Jews in around 70 A.D. or it's talking about some event in the future such as the culmination of all evil coming in the person who is symbolized as the Beast. It's inspired so much literature and artwork, we forget that this was a humble letter John had sent to the seven churches in the Asia Minor province. It's worth reading the whole thing in the King James Version for its style and beauty on conveying God's message to us that His goodness will triumph over evil in the end.
