I've recently watched this movie as a part of a Biopic marathon. All I can say is this: This is one of the best Biopics I've seen so far, but I have some problems with it.
First, the good things: The first and third act are really amazing, specially the Theater scene. I also liked the gradual evolution of Hawking's disease. The music was pretty good too. I really liked the perfomances, specially the dude who played Hawking. And I loved the scene where Hawking ends up being in a Buda statue while his friend lifts his wheelchair.
Now to the bad things: The second act was really boring, it changes important parts of Hawking's life, such as the accident that sends him to the hospital for the first time (In the movie the accident takes place in the university, in real life it took place while ice skating with his family) and I share Hawking's opinion that the movie should've been more focused on science.
Overall, I still liked the movie. Any movie that makes me cry is a great movie. It's definitely one of the best Biopics out there (Alongside Love & Mercy and Alexander). You should watch this with your family or couple.
Film One of the best biopics out there, but still flawed.
