When I rewatched this movie on Netflix, I was convinced that I would discover that I was a victim of the nostalgia filter and this movie would turn out to be bad. I’m happy to say I was wrong.
When the villain wants to appear as a formally dressed cultured villain but ends up either wearing extremely casual clothes each time to the point where he wants the guy who purchases his clothes for him murdered it’s funny. And when Ian comments, “so this is the bad guy, I thought he’d be better dressed” it’s funny.
Come to think of it, I like when the villain lampshades the mole describing his entire evil plan, because it’s funny. And when Colt says “like my ma used to say, spying is easy, parenting is hard” because that’s funny.
I like the bloopers scene at the end because it’s funny.
There is very little about this movie that doesn’t make me laugh.
Now this is a children’s movie, no mistake about it, and as such it comes equipped with an Aesop articulated by Bob towards the end of the movie about how “family is not whose blood we share, it is those we love, and those who love us.”
Film Hilarious

Also I like Jackie Chan’s acting.
All in all, I like it.
