Film WHY THE HATE?
this was the best yet underrated of the Indy films. the funniest and most action packed. the trio's tendency to get into trouble goes Beyond The Impossible. and it's not as political as the rest of the franchise.
Film Gory
Sorry! Putting that in something for Crystal Skull.
These are my thoughts on Temple of Doom.
Good, not great. Indy is pretty much the only good character. The token girlfriend is just annoying as anything and the little kid, while not as bad in my opinion as others think he is, makes no impression. Neither do the bad guys. For the sequel (well, prequel) to the battle with the Nazis for the Ark of the Covenent it feels small. While I said that expectations for Crystal Skull were beyond what what reasonable, for the immediate sequel (well, prequel) to the battle with the Nazis for the Ark of the Covenent, Temple of Doom feels small. The violence is way too over the top and gory, even for this franchise. It seems like gore for the sake of gore instead of being realistic or serving the story, which comes across as just disgusting. There's still a lot of fun to be had, but less than in the following sequels and without much of what made the original so memorable.
It's the worst of the Indiana Jones movies, though that does say some good things about the series as a whole.
