AlfheimWanderer's worldbuilding is superb, and it only shows more as the series progresses. The Potterverse and Nasuverse are blended together nigh-seamlessly, although the tone definitely tends more toward the latter. There are some minor AU elements resulting from the combined settings (most notably Lockhart), which eventually have significant effects on the plot, and while the notable casts of both series feature prominently with some very satisfying character development, the author also takes the opportunity to rescue a few minor characters with a bit of Alternate Character Interpretation.
YMMV on the semi-frequent descriptions of Japanese cultural practices, obligatory Nasuverse Food Porn scenes, and (thankfully, usually subtle) references to unrelated series, but the overall writing quality is excellent, things that most fanfic protagonists might get away with (e.g. Shinji's - admittedly hilarious - semi-inadvertent playboy tendencies) have natural consequences, and there's Always Someone Better.
