Okay, so, when I started reading this, I was REALLY on board. Then, the author suddenly decided to really hit the stations of the canon REALLY hard at the end of the Earth piece and the beginning of the Fire one, and I got upset. the simple premise of this fic should mean that this particular event should not have happened at all, but the writer just kind of shoe-horned it in for no real reason. It felt kind of cheap, because a lot of ground had to be re-tread when the writer could've done something interesting and different for the third arc.
FanficRecs ALMOST Perfect
