I love this fan fiction. "Aegukga" shows the resilience of South Korea, all the while not demonizing Japan for doing what he had to do. It explores the countries' relationships, and doesn't gloss over some of the uglier details. The ending is especially powerful. It's a must-read for fans of both Im Yong Soo and Kiku Honda.
FanficRecs An amazing insight into both characters.
