Have you ever wanted to read a My Hero Academia fanfic where everyone is a massive jerkass and Izuku gets metaphorically crapped on constantly for no reason? ...No? Oh, well then you better move on. There's nothing for you here.
On the surface, the story is about Izuku meeting Rumi instead of Toshinori and getting into UA quirkless rather than with One For All. But all of that is just an excuse. Nobody is both in character and actually present in the story. Izuku is a Glory Seeker who wants to be a hero "for the fame and popularity", not to help people. Rumi is somehow willing to accept that. Aizawa constantly singles Izuku out for abuse, allegedly as Tough Love but it reads more like he's just a prejudiced jerkass. And every thing that happens in the story from the start of UA onwards exists solely to make Izuku miserable.
Aizawa blatantly fudges Izuku's physical assessment scores so he'd get last place then (fake) expels five other students when Izuku refuses to be bullied by him, citing that "they don't deserve to be there if they can't beat a single quirkless kid". Somehow this makes the entire class hate Izuku. Then when Izuku tries to smooth things over, he instead glares at everyone and says they "better not have a problem today". He doesn't try to correct this 'slip-up'. During the battle trials, Izuku causes Bakugo to break his arms when the other boy tries to murder him. Somehow this translates to everyone deciding Izuku is a violent psychopath and Aizawa punishes him for it. Then he gives Izuku six weeks detention for hopping the school fence to avoid reporters. Then Izuku's classmates leave him to die at the USJ.
Aizawa claims to be teaching the class that hero life isn't fun and games, and teaching Izuku that he'll face more scrutiny. Instead he's teaching his students that the Quirkless don't deserve basic human decency and the only way to get ahead is to step on those weaker than you. And he's teaching Izuku that anyone can and will abuse him for literally no reason and get away with it.
The cherry on this dumpster fire of a story is that Inko said she decided against pulling Izuku out of UA (despite him being treated like crap and having half his face melted off) because "He's just so happy there".
Fanfic Everyone's an asshole and no one's likable
