I've been reading the Archie Comics for a while and I've grown to love them. So naturally, after reading Worlds Collide, I was excited when I heard about this crossover. And while not as good as the previous one, it's still fun.
Pros:
The Deadly Six are much better written characters thanks to the skilled writing of Ian Flynn, coming off as dangerous villains while still being as funny as their game counterparts. Put simply, when you can curb-stomp Sonic and Mega Man, you know you're Rescued from the Scrappy Heap.
Just the thought of Sega and Capcom characters teaming up to form the mother of all Badass Armies is enough to make any fan scream his their head off in excitement.
And suitably, the final battle with Sigma is pure badassery.
Sticks is at her funniest in this comic, and proves to actually be useful when she recruits the Street Fighter characters.
Cons
The comic itself feels rather short compared to Worlds Collide.
While the Deadly Six are much better written than in Sonic Lost World, they are quite underused. They only appear to defeat Mega Man and Sonic, then fight the Freedom Fighters before being taken out of the comic. I was expecting them to be present for the final battle with Sigma. Though Ian had said he planned to make a Sonic Lost World adaptation so I hope they'll reappear with more fleshed out personalities and backstories.
Speaking of Sigma, while I like Sigma, he didn't exactly stand out as a villain in this comic. His Evil Plan was basically the same as Wily and Eggman's in the last crossover (Absorb the energy of worlds and become a god).
The comic has a tendency to waste several characters such as Vile. On that note, how come there weren't characters from Darkstalkers or Asura's Wrath? A fight between Asura and Sigma would have been epic as hell.
Overall, flaws aside, it's still a fun read and worth a look if you're curious.
