Anime just saw the raw which show the guardians of the galaxy
At first i assume it MIGHT be bad due to the design but they did show the guardians to be badass and it appears that they do act like themselves. plus rocket first design was abit cartoonish in his first appearance. so again not that disturb with the design.
Anime Surprisingly Good
It's easy to dismiss this show as stupid the instant you hear the premise: Avenegers fused with Shonen anime in the vein of Pokemon or Mega Man NT Warrior. The Avengers are sealed into disks that only a group of children can control. Sounds like a cheap Merchandise-Driven cash-grab with a bunch of obnoxious kids distracting from the super hero parts, doesn't it?
But it's not. The real thing that makes this series the 2nd-best Avengers cartoon (behind Earth's Mightiest Heroes, of course) is the fact that, despite being aimed at young children, it doesn't treat the audience like idiots. The gimmick is given a plausible reason for happening (The disks were supposed to be supervillain prisons, but Loki turned them on the heroes and then they got tethered to the children by accident). The kids aren't just thrown off into adventure; there are a couple Reality Ensues moments where the schoolchildren are helpless against the supervillains, and Pepper even protests against the child endangerment. And the show takes time to develop the characters, too. The story is really simplistic, but it goes at a steady pace, which is a breath of fresh air from the manic pace of the current batch of western Marvel cartoons.
Also, you'd think the kids would be annoying, but they're not. Most of them are actually pretty mature, and a good amount of focus is given to the relationship between the lead kid and Iron Man, so it doesn't feel like the heroes are reduced to toys. But the kids also don't hog all the screen time. And on top of that, each child complements an Avenger's personality in some way: The lead gets Iron Man because they're both main character, the cynical kid gets Cap because he's idealistic, the wimpy kid gets Hulk because he's strong, the lead's brother gets Thor because Thor has a brother, and the girl gets Wasp because they both have vaginas.
Add in the fact that it focuses mostly on A-listers like the Avengers, Nick Fury, Spider-Man, and even the X-Men, and it's hard not to love this show. The only issue is the cheesiness (especially the obligatory Calling Your Attacks) and some of the character designs being weird, but that's only because the show is trying to embrace some classic anime elements. And this show isn't exactly Grim Dark anyways, so a little corniness just makes it more endearing.
