Now maybe it is just a case of Epileptic Trees, but this interpretation does make more sense given M. Night\\\'s portfolio, and it makes the film way less ridiculous.
The bird hitting the invisible ship is difficult to explain but it could be a weak reference to Matthew 10:29.
Also many \\\"natural\\\" sources of water can be interpreted as sacred or \\\"Holy\\\" if you assume that any religious type person can bless water. Again its kind of a weak reference to hang a hat on, but if you give non-Judeo-Christian holy people equal power against demons or demon/devil like beings it becomes much less so.
