Amethyst has been showed on screen as of Lion 2: The Movie and Story for Steven, having turned into both \'\'Dog Copter\'\' and \'\'an owl\'\'. So it seems frustratingly weird that neither she nor Pearl would have thought of taking a form that can fly to continue pursuing Peridot.

Maybe it could be chalked up to Amethyst\'s discomfort and feelings of inferiority at being in the Kindergarten again, especially after her last time there.

Even if she wasn\\\'t comfortable chasing Peridot as an animal, she\\\'s been shown to shapeshift into perfect copies of other Gems as well: Pearl, Steven and Rose. She could\\\'ve given chase as Purple Peridot.
