\\\"Then how come every single muslim in the book is portrayed as completely monstrous? Check again, there is no good muslim character in the entire story!\\\"

Why does there need to be a heroic muslim in the story? Are you saying that any work that features a villain or less-than-good muslim character is by nature an anti-muslim work? By that logic, any work with an American villain is an anti-American work, any work with Nazi villains is an anti-German work, and so on. Just because you have jihadist villains does NOT mean the work is anti-muslim.

\\\"We also need to know why the americans are pretty much meant to be sympathetic and in the right.\\\"

...because they\\\'re not blowing up and murdering innocent people, like the terrorists are? Did you really just ask that?

\\\"And we need to know why The Fixer is such a gentle soul-\\\"

Where do you keep getting this \\\"gentle soul\\\" idea? Are you unfamiliar with the idea of an {{Anti Hero}}? By your logic, The Punisher, Dirty Harry, Jack Bauer and countless other protagonists are all \\\"just as evil as the rest\\\" as well. Stop acting like this is something special.

\\\"Kind of hard to do that when it\\\'s actually more popular to criticize Frank Miller than side with him.\\\"

Aaaand, there\\\'s the main problem. Last I checked, this wiki didn\\\'t exist as a stage for people to bash works they don\\\'t like. The {{RuleOfCautiousEditingJudgment}} applies here, and it doesn\\\'t matter how much you dislike a work. Flame Bait is forbidden for a reason, and you can\\\'t make inflammatory edits just because you think they are popular opinions at the moment.

If you hate Frank Miller and his works, then go start a blog. This wiki is not, repeat, NOT a place for you to bash works you don\\\'t like. I\\\'ve been on this wiki for a long time, and one of the big changes I\\\'ve noticed has been the massive neutralization (i.e., made more neutral) of opinion on the trope pages. Even on the YMMV pages, you have to be careful not to post anything inflammatory. And calling something \\\"racist\\\" is about an inflammatory as you can get.

Now, onto the topic at hand:

\\\"Besides, the trope still applies, even if it was intentional.\\\"

I\\\'m guessing you\\\'re talking about {{CriticalResearchFailure}}? One, it wasn\\\'t \\\"intentional\\\"; to my knowledge, you can\\\'t \\\"intentionally\\\" fail at researching something. Frank never intended to portray the terrorists in this book accurately, just like he never intended to portray the characters in [[Film/ThreeHundred 300]] accurately, either. Frank was never writing a comic about why Islam was bad; he was writing a cathartic revenge fantasy (yes, a fantasy) with Al-Queda-like villains. Therefore, he didn\\\'t need to do any research to make the villains or their tactics \\\"accurate\\\" in any way, because it wasn\\\'t his intention. If you are going to write a work with villains who resemble Al-Queda or similar terrorists, that doesn\\\'t mean you are obligated to throw in token good muslim characters, or even depict their tactics in a historically accurate light. As I said before, this is a work of fantasy, not a history lesson. Therefore, no attempt at research was necessary or attempted, and thus, could not be failed at. The trope does not apply.

I hope I\\\'ve explained myself. In order to avoid any kind of edit war, I hope we can come to an agreement on what would be appropriate for this page.

Thank you for your time.
