Thing is, I\'m not sure what trope this could be put under. The closest thing I can think of is Controllable Helplessness, but that doesn\'t seem quite right, as you can still get to the end of the level, it\'s more of a story-affecting-gameplay type thing. Does anyone have any other ideas?

When first playing the game, I was struck by the way Benjamin\'s sudden blindness was introduced; the player is in a tight maze with a close zoom, so that they will more likely than not blunder into several dead ends before finding the exit… because they can\'t see, just like Benjamin! As well as being a very quickly resolved use of foreshadowing, I found it a clever and poignant use of gameplay to get across the character\'s experience, and was surprised that it wasn\'t mentioned already.
