\\\"Nico Minoru needs to be afflicted with Bleeding to use her magic. BloodMagic, yes, but she\\\'s a \\\'\\\'teen goth\\\'\\\'. DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything\\\"

I removed it, and the first poster restored it. The problem is that the first poster, who accepts that he has never ever read a comic book of the runaways, thinks: \\\"teen goth + blood magic = self-harming mental disorder\\\". Actually, the thing is not about that. Nico Minoru is a sorcerer that needs the Staff of One to do her magic, but this staff has an annoying problem: when it\\\'s not in use, it gets into her body (don\\\'t ask how, it\\\'s magic), and when she needs it, she must bleed to retrieve it (again, don\\\'t ask). She even has her own catch phrase: \\\"When blood is shed... let the Staff of One emerge\\\". See an example of the whole process [[http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/ww324/Puunk/Pic2.jpg here]]. Nico does not harm herself because of a mental disorder but because of this reason; she does not like to do it this way, and seeks alternatives when she can (such as brushing her teeth badly, the blood shed from her gums works just as well).

Back to the page: the point is that the 1ยบ power of the character in Avengers Alliance is an adaption of that aspect of the comic book character. It is not a reference to self-harming, and the original poster wrote this simply because he did not understand what was it all about. So, it should be removed.
