I eventually decided to classify Iram, Saeftinghe, and Rungholt under REAL LIFE because evidence indicates they actually even if the real circumstances behind their destruction were probably a bit more mundane than legend would have it. In contrast, I put Vineta under RELIGION AND MYTHOLOGY because there\'s no actual proof (e.g., ruins or accurate records) it existed. However, if they ever come across the soggy ruins of a medieval trading city in the vicinity of the German-Polish border that can be verified as the likely location of Vineta, I\'ll move the entry.
