I can totally understand why you\'re trying to make this trope villain only. I think cutting down on ComplainingAboutShowsYouDontLike is a good thing. (Though I also think you can do so without barring all non-villain examples.)

That said, the way you were going about it was all wrong. At best the previous description merely \'\'implied\'\' that the trope was villain only. It\'s never explicitly stated and as such a lot of people don\'t realize it (because it doesn\'t really make sense). When they then post their example only to be jumped on they feel victimized. The fact that there are so many people on this discussion page complaining about it should be proof of that. (It should also tell you that heroes can be Karma Houdinis too.)

So, in order to try and fix this issue, I put a big bold-faced note on the main trope page in order to make it absolutely clear that this trope is villain only. And no, I wasn\'t snarky about it.

Alright, I think we really desperately need to do something here. Since the mods have apparently decided that there will absolutely never be room in KarmaHoudini for characters who aren\'t villains we REALLY need to make that clear. The existing description does not really make that clear enough in my opinion. It mentions villains a lot, sure, but at no point does it specifically say \
