I can try helping out for the Sega and Namco characters cause I have played quite a few games from both companies (well actually all three), and I already know the plot of NamcoXCapcom and since this is practically the sequel already of sorts (And if you wanna be technical, this entire shenanigans might as well have started ever since Hero Senki and SRW Alpha -> SRW A (just the beginning phase where Axel detonates the portal leaving Beowulf behind) -> SRW OGS1 and OGS2 (with NxC storyline happening) -> EndlessFrontier -> EXCEED ([spoiler: Axel (as Ahoseru), Alfimi and Kouta go to Endless Frontier]]) -> This game).
