Jack and Ianto are the BetaCouple, Gwen and Rhys was the OfficialCouple. While River vaugly imply the doctor and her have sex, its not worth much (and not even relevant to them being the official couple. Here again they could be considered the beta couple to Amy and Rory- but thats a lot more controversial. Every couple thats official isnt the official couple, there arn\'t more then one at a time.
