For example, the Gothamites that followed Bane did give into their worst impulses and commit evil acts. But the League of Shadows also has much money and resources and they were evil as well. Batman is rich, but Catwoman obviously came from a poor background but is also a hero (at least by the climax). [[spoiler:Talia al Ghul]] is also wealthy but very, very evil as well as John Dagget.
