How is the first item mentioned under CheckhovsGun a Checkhov\'s Gun? It\'s an extremely minor item and really the only way it fits this trope is that it\'s reacurring. It usually only exists to inform Arthur of the plot at the beginning of the first few books. Almost every time Arthur tries to summon it, and therefore promote it to an item of importance, he fails. It doesn\'t seem to really fit at all.
