My impression is that Cersei had genuine feelings for Robert when she married him (or maybe was just a naïve princess thinking that hers was the perfect marriage of all time, a la Sansa) and her bitterness was born when she realized that Robert still loved Lyanna and would never feel the same for her. Robert\\\'s constant drinking and whoring only made her dislike worse, but that doesn\\\'t mean Robert was physically abusive to her.
