I find the distinction between Affably Evil and Faux Affably Evil quite blurry and confusing. Sure, Affably Evil is when a character is evil but also does genuinely nice stuffs, while the niceness of Faux Affably Evil characters is just a mask. But how do we know a nice-acting villain is genuine or just pretending to be nice? I believe a lot of villains classified as Affably Evil may actually be more like Faux Affably Evil.
