All expressions read as equal to me. It\\\'s simply about how extreme they are. Comperatively this is simply noticing and pointing it out.

I have cited a few of the examples elsewhere on tvtropes, but the problem is that the column is already very long, and starting to attempt to sort out hundreds of impressions into a list would not be feasible here. It is all completely sincere though, and I agree that it came out in a way I didn\\\'t intend the first time around. It has not been uncommon among writers to either go overboard with the \\\"AcceptableHardLuckTargets people with mental handicaps are the most malevolent genocidal threat to humanity ever, no matter how falsely outwardly harmless! We should scream destructive derogatory terms at them until they commit suicide, encourage their parents to strangle them at birth! Or society in general to scapegoat them and put them in camps! Then throw a party!\\\" (No, I\\\'m actually not exaggerating for the most extreme examples) That makes them sound like the worst of ED, just approaching it from the other side of the fence, which is a CompletelyMissingThePoint, as they tend to assume that anybody who is freaked out is part of the other ridiculous extreme, rather than overloaded pacifist in the middle, and thus make strange characterisation blends of very opposing types of people that I can\\\'t relate to. Alternately the more common glorification of {{Gorn}} massmurder as a perfectly viable and laudable SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids option, or worst of all both in common.

However, just because that\\\'s the sort of ridiculously extreme thing that tends to etch itself into my mind (Remember those Auchwitz movies on tv, and the reactions to them from kind and sensitive people? Yeah, well, I don\\\'t have the normal defences/filters against HIghOctaneNightmareFuel entertainment or statements from other people, so I tend to react like that to an awful lot of sufficiently evil-minded stuff... no, not the comparatively harmless Harry Potter variety) doesn\\\'t mean that there haven\\\'t been plenty of decent constructive writers around as well, or in the case of some, shift wildly from story to story. Thus I tried to clarify that. Still, I find it downright odd that somebody like WarrenEllis (In Transmetropolitan. Much of his other work has been far too extreme and depressing for me) actually reads like a saint in compassion and tolerance compared to a lot of the other comics writers out there.

All of the continuity is still there as far as I know. Marvel is a major stickler for that, (and unless they finally say \\\"Screw it! This is ridiculous!\\\" to all of the numbered alternate Earths nonsense and start over from scratch with self-contained stories without continuity, I think that anybody intersted should stick to (admittedly chaotic hard rock brand style, going by what little I\\\'ve seen of MarvelVersusCapcom) video games, tv series, or independent MarvelAdventures books), but considerable amounts of EldritchAbomination have been wiped out recently, and Disney/HeroicAge means that several of the characters have started to become less sociopathic.

Regardless, largely it\\\'s probably the narrative combo of \\\"most extreme sum total nighmarefuel ever created\\\" \\\"broken AcceptableHardLuckTargets are the worst people ever\\\", while people who have gladly murdered hundreds of innocents (are the types who actually are completely callous mass-murderers) are simultaneously lauded as perfectly fine/can get away with a handslap; and idealising bloodcrazed callous slaughter as a perfectly viable solution to any social problem/that we should all strive towards beign war-crazed killers, regardless that reality doesn\\\'t have convenient threats to focus against, and the war-crazed killer who tell themselves that they are righteous (on both sides of nearly any conflict) tend to \\\'\\\'be\\\'\\\' the worst people who exist in the real world.
