\\\"Dungeonmaster\\\'s Girlfriend\\\" is a very specific situation in RPG circles where a real life romantic interest\\\'s character gets treatment no other player would enjoy, often becoming a MarySue due to GM intervention. In this context the term is widely understood among Tabletop RPG players, and has spread out to include directors that cast their untalented girlfriend in a movie or play then give their character exaggerated importance or attributes.

I would think this trope should be split. Examples of someone insisting on joining an activity or group they aren\\\'t really qualified for should be filed under a trope named \\\"Insistent Joiner\\\" , \\\"Nakima Envy\\\", or something similar. The examples of someone\\\'s character getting really preferential treatment in a game or story because the player is dating the creative director/GM should keep the current name and relevant examples.
