[[blockquote]]Given what we know about Lily\'s family, that just might be the case.
* How so? All we\'ve seen is Lily\'s father cracking open what might be a beer, and one cousin who pretended to smoke to shock and annoy the rest of the family.[[/blockquote]]

The main reason why I\'m not sure, though? It\'s because the \'\'whole\'\' settlement of the RomeoXJuliuet series is too different from the original play, thus CharacterDerailment goes for \'\'everyone\'\'. Romeo was HotBlooded and LadykillerInLove in the original while he was made ThewhitePrince, yeah, but there\'s also Mercutio TheSnarkKnight HotBlooded who becomes a SmugSnake [[spoiler: and [[GoMadFromTheRevelation goes mad from the revelation]], Juliet goes from a DistressedDamsel who tries to be a PluckyGirl RebelliousPrincess and pays dearly for it towards a WeakButSkilled LadyOfWar. . . It\'s less about the Sueness and more about the context, in which \'\'\'everyone\'\' is changed.

So even when there \\\'\\\'is\\\'\\\' some basis for the \\\"Romeo is a PuritySue\\\" case, IMHO it\\\'s simply not strong enough, and it may even have some inklings of \\\"He\\\'s a Stu because I don\\\'t like him\\\" - and while I may be wrong on YOUR case, many of the MarySue examples give me HUGE vibes of \\\"character I HATE = instant Mary Sue\\\".
