For the part at the beginning: Yes, we don\'t know those things, but based on the fact that he was a guardian there are some reasonable guesses we can make. Assuming otherwise without even the slightest hint that it is otherwise is already rationalizing.
As for the part about him letting the Guardian in on the plan...as I recall, the Guardian is the entire reason he knows about what the dagger can do. What did he think he was going to do with it? Use it to rewind time a few seconds? For what?
For #1: I can pretty much promise you I wouldn\'t be. Nizam was clearly a somewhat older, well-educated aristocrat. I\'m more than happy to accept that he would have known about an ArtifactOfDoom through some library somewhere.
