If the anime breaks one rule that he already established this counts as PlotHole pure and simple. If one pokemon which Ground-type was already mentioned in the anime is hurt by electricity, as the immunity to electricity of the Ground-type already was mentioned in the anime, this really counts as one PlotHole.
