Should be fairly obvious why but in case it isn\'t, it isn\'t all that astonishing that a guy who grows up to be tall and muscular happens to be tall and muscular during his teenage years. And its not that odd that a character that favors primary colors in his daily wear would carry that preference over to his costume design (even if Martha made the costume for him as is the case in the comic books, its not that weird that she\'d take into account Clark\'s preferences.) I think this is a case of putting the cart before the horse. Because we were introduced to the adult Superman long before the Smallville version, we think its funny that there are all these little signs of what he\'ll eventually become but, for the most part, it only makes sense that those signs would be there.

Yabbut in Rhode Island, where \\\'\\\'FamilyGuy\\\'\\\' is [[LikeRealityUnlessNoted more or less]] set, a 17-year-old -- indeed, a 16-year-old -- is \\\'\\\'\\\'legally\\\'\\\'\\\' capable of consent. That\\\'s what \\\"age of [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin consent]]\\\" \\\'\\\'\\\'means\\\'\\\'\\\'.

I think a 16-year-old is likely to be capable of consent, but the State of New York disagrees with me (not that it ever comes up in my own life at almost 32). In any case, \\\"statutory rape\\\" means sex with someone below the age of consent, whatever that may be and however reasonable or unreasonable it is.
