This would mean it is still less assumptive to stick with our current compromise. There is no denying that all Great Will being one in the same has strong explanatory power (mainly the fact every YHVH always has lines which reference their prior appearances, and that Lucifer in SMT V makes it seem the Will could not even be touched, he instead focuses on its system the Mandala), and while it is possible the Great Will also has cases of AlternateSelf, there is never an explicit indication for that — unlike YHVH and other avatars of Great Will.

While it is still possible the Great Will has cases of AlternateSelf, currently there is no explicit indication for that — unlike YHVH and other avatars of Great Will, who definitively have different selves across different universes.

In other words — it’s a case of misleading translation. Since that is one of the primary basis for assuming that SMTIVA YHVH is in fact a being on the level of Great Will, this means I have no choice but to admit the blog is mistaken on that front (and so am I).

I personally checked the Japanese version of the scene where Satan says “will of the universe” in English — in Japanese Satan only challenges Nanashi if he is worthy to be the next 祖 (read as So; meaning founder or ancestor), so in reality “Great Will” never occurs as a term in the Japanese version of the game.

Okay, so I thought I\'d try proposing something here to gauge people\'s thoughts before I took it to the forums: is anyone else up for changing the page image? I\'ve just always felt like having a random monster from the Alone In The Dark reebot as THE face of videogame Nightmare Fuel is kinda doing a disservice to far more iconic moments of horror from other games.

I\\\'ve just always felt like having a random monster from the Alone In The Dark reebot as THE face of videogame Nightmare Fuel is kinda doing a disservice to far more iconic moments of horror from other games, especially when that game doesn\\\'t even have enough examples to warrant its own individual Nightmare Fuel page.
