By default, Marth straight up dethrones Mareeta (and by extension maybe Ryoma) just by stats alone and also having a stronger damaging special and realistically it’s only Ayra, F!Ike, and Kris/Shannan who aren’t completely stuck under his shadow just due to Null Guard and innate unity/immunity to debuffs so he’s adding in place of Mareeta at least by that alone. He does have a glaring panic weakness but he’s still doing what Mareeta can do but better
