Looking for a thoughtful discussion. Is the Evil Cripple a Discredited Trope? I don\\\'t see it listed under the discredited tropes page, so is this an oversight?
Some extraneous background for any interested: I ask this after getting mauled on twitter for positing that the trope can be used without being representative of actual disabled people if done carefully. Probably should have seen coming the cries of \\\"ableism!\\\" It\\\'s ironic since I have a multiply disabled sibling, who\\\'s been discriminated against her whole life.
