The laconic page describes Freakiness Shame/But Your Wings Are Beautiful as \\\"Your monster parts are cute!\\\" A little less laconically, Character A is insecure about their monstrous appearance, an appearance which Character B is attracted to, either genuinely or as an extension of their pre-existing attraction.

Now, see the character sheet for A Silent Voice:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/ASilentVoice. Under Shoko\\\'s sheet, an editor listed Freakiness Shame, referring to Shoko\\\'s deafness and her shame in regards to it. This is not an example of the trope. Shoko has no monster parts, nor is Shoko\\\'s love interest, Shoya, attracted to her because she has monster parts, or because she is deaf.

Now, you could chalk this up to the editor\\\'s mistake, except that their entry DOES describe \\\"Freakiness Shame\\\" if divorced of its tropic context. Shoko feels like a freak, and she feels shame. \\\'Freakiness\\\' by itself, has no monstrous or supernatural connotation.

I\\\'d argue that the new title \\\'Freakiness Shame\\\' is creating a situation ripe for misunderstandings, like the one above. A proper solution would be to change the name back to \\\"But Your Wings Are Beautiful\\\" or to a new term that accurately describes this trope.
