I know it says \\\"No Real Life Examples, Please!\\\" but I have some good Real Life examples (as in, ones that won\\\'t start a flame war) that I wanted to share here:
- On a biological scale, when a cell\\\'s DNA is irrepairably damaged, sometimes it may kill itself so that it doesn\\\'t cause a potentially negative mutation.
- People in war who committed suicide when captured to prevent themselves from being tortured for information and thus betraying their friends.
