Well, I didn't mention IronLady because she fits the trope. She doesn't, and I wouldn't recommend it be applied to her. I just think she's closer to it than to either YamatoNadeshiko or SilkHidingSteel. I don't think she should be any of these three tropes.

Her fights all occurred off-screen, aside from one or two teaser scenes, so there\'s not much to genuinely trope about her fight. However, from the first moment she entered the story, she\'s introduced as a teasing personality with a mischief-making streak. She has no problem with openly taking an opposite opinion to Ghira, or bringing him down a peg or two, or admitting she\'s pumping Sun for information about Blake because Blake doesn\'t share so easily.

She\'s portrayed as a strong, self-assured personality from the outset, but her and Ghira\'s scenes have been confined to their house, and Ghira\'s only truly authoritative scenes come from his scenes involving his job (Menagerie chieftan).

There\'s no apparent set-up to reveal hidden inner strength, although they do seem to want to keep the extent of her fighting skills a mystery for now by just giving us teasers. Prior to her parents\' introduction, Blake had already told Ozpin that she was raised fighting, and had told Sun that she was born into the White Fang. So, there\'s always been an expectation that her parents could fight, given that she\'s been in the White Fang longer than its been a terrorist organisation and her fighting skills are indicated to have predated the organisation\'s transformation.

There\'s no apparent set-up to reveal hidden inner strength or that the creators are just trying to make us think she\'s got no skills beyond being a housewife and mother. Prior to their introduction in the show, Blake had already told Ozpin that she was raised fighting, and had told Sun that she was born into the White Fang. So, there\'s always been an expectation that her parents could fight.

Her fights all occurred off-screen, aside from one or two teaser scenes, where she picks up a gun with a yell or starts forward with a dinner tray. We can trope almost nothing from her fight as a result. There\'s certainly no indication - based on the fight alone - that she\'s the one who rules the house.

However, from the first moment she entered the story, she introduced as a teasing personality with a mischief-making streak. She has no problem with openly taking an opposite opinion to Ghira, or bringing him down a peg or two, or admitting she\'s pumping Sun for information about Blake because Blake doesn\'t share so easily.

The issue with her isn\'t that she\'s not portrayed as a strong, self-assured personality (she is), it\'s that she only ever been seen in the house because that\'s where Blake\'s scenes have been set for the past volume and a half -- she\'s moved around but her parents have always been confined to house scenes.

That doesn\'t mean she\'s being set up for a reveal of hidden inner strength or that the creators are just trying to make us think she\'s a housewife, she\'s just been presented in a limited environment.

Given that Blake had once already claimed to Ozpin she was raised fighting to survive, that she told Sun she was born into the White Fang and that the episode her parents were introduced in confirmed that her father was the former leader who stood down, there\'s been an expectation since before their introduction that she probably had parents who could fight.
