The reason Grandsoil was banned was also because it's been abused in ftk combos for a while, the Firewall Dragon one being consistent the final nail in its coffin. As for Elma, its still really broken if you can get a situation to abuse its potential to generate spell counters. If I were in charge, I'd probably consider bringing it back, as it's unlikely to be consistent enough to bring back, but who knows.
