There are lots of people who think it's horrible, including me, but I am baffled at the surprisingly large number who seem to genuinely like it on Crunchyroll, youtube, and other platforms where user reviews tend toward EightPointEight. Even on r/berserk where all the mods (of which I am one) think it's garbage, there seem to be roughly 33% of people who dismiss all criticism and think it's great, 33% who think it's rather disappointing but think it's GrowingTheBeard, and 33% who want to kill it with fire.

Just goes to show that the public cannot be relied on for its good taste, and that sometimes even the critics are not as harsh with something as they should be.
