since Metroid Database's feat is citated, wouldn't Another Metroid 2 Remake earn a spot too? After all it was in development for 8 years, boomed on release to the point it drew attention of major game news sites, even after Nintendo drove DoctorM64 he still told his fans to not hate Nintendo for what they did and ENCOURAGED people to buy Metroid 2 to show Nintendo that we wanted a new 2D Metroid, and that all may or may have not influenced an OFFICIAL remake to happen!
