He was also very clear that he was only familiar with the 1987 \\\'\\\'Ninja Turtles\\\'\\\' cartoon and the live action movies while reviewing 2007\\\'s \\\'\\\'TMNT\\\'\\\'. Fans reacted harshly (and not \\\'\\\'just\\\'\\\' to the Mako comment, long story, not relevent to the matter at hand) to that too.
