Unfortunately, this is a rather invalid comparison. Skulljacking/skullmining ADVENT personnel is simply a more fucked up way of killing them, with the siphoning of additional intel from their network being an added bonus, than simply shooting/blowing/hacking them up with regular attacks.
Damon\'s use of the hacking blade, by comparison, essentially hacks the girls and forces them to obey him.
