\'\'Every other country has other factors backing it up to indicate who they\'re suppose to be. Obvious Russian or eastern European accents, names, etc. Belka is Germany because we know it\'s ace pilot squadrons are named after real German words, and most of it\'s citizens have clearly German sounding names. The Espada pilots have Spanish accents. The Yuktobanians have Russian accents and naming conventions, as does Estovakia. North Point isn\'t near Erusia either. It\'s to the east of Usea, a United States-type country, and Erusia is to the west of that. Also, check the other wiki. Both nukes were detonated in the air, avoiding physical damage to the land beneath the city. In other words, NO CRATERS. The only Asian sounding name ever heard in Ace Combat is the Nagase family, and we don\'t know their country of origin.

Evilist_Tim made an edit to the FantastyCounterpartCulture trope to change it back to state that North Point is Japan, stating that there was no evidence to support that every other country in the series parallels a real world equivalent, and tries to back up his support with very vague connections to Cold War era historical events. He DidNotDoTheResearch.. not in full anyway.
