resolved Card game Anime Anime
On Cheez TV or Toasted TV there was an Anime series that based around a card game sorta like Yu-Gi-Oh!
Elements I remember include
- Believe there four main characters
- The male hot headed boy protagonist
- Shorter glasses wearing boy who was The Smart Guy
- A girl who was friends with them
- A slightly ditzy girl who was new to the area and was mostly used to ask questions about the game so it could be explained to her and thereby to the audience
- Before each game the players would hold out their decks in front of them and shuffle them
- One game has the protagonist playing the game outside in near a waterway and some storm clouds start rolling in. The opponent points to the sky and makes a speech about how the storm is harbinger of his victory. The opponent gets exactly the cards he needs for his tactics and while the others are wondering how the ditzy girl points out that he swapped his shuffled deck for an unshuffled one while they look up at the storm clouds in the sky.
- The characters going through rooms beating top players until the come to a girl's room and while they are looking for the occupant, a phone starts to ring and the ditzy girl answers. It turns out it's the ditzy girl's room and she is the player, pretending not to know about the game for some reason I forget and have a game.
resolved duo thief old anime Anime
I'm looking for an old anime, probably from around early 2000s or maybe late 90s. The main characters is a duo of a man and a woman, and they're some kind of thief. Each episode follows a different heist where they steal a specific MacGuffin. The reason they're doing this is because they were contacted by their boss or something, and the boss told them to get something important, but the connection cut off before the boss could tell them what it is and they just resorted to stealing everything and checking whether or not the MacGuffin they stole that episode was the right one or not. They always return the items if it's the wrong one.
resolved old Werewolf anime film Anime
old (think 90s/80s) anime film about a woman who falls in love with a werewolf and has two kids, a daughter and a son, with him. the werewolf dies at some point, and the woman and her two kids move out into the country and work on a farm? the woman's daughter accidentally bites someone at school, and the son feels increasingly disconnected from his human side, eventually leaving the family at the end of the film.
resolved Comedy Anime Vampire Anime
This was something I discovered on You Tube a few years ago that I intended to watch, but I've lost the name.
It was about a vampire with a female human assistant. He was kind of a goofball and she was kind of hot-headed, but wanted to be his girlfriend and (I think?) for him to drink her blood. He refuses, because drinking human blood made him aggressive. There were also two other humanoid monster people (at least I think they were) living with them; one was a girl who lived in a fridge. It's hazy, but I think they had some kind of job as detectives or monster hunters - I recall that because of seeing the female assistant trying to wake up everyone because they had a job and needed to get on the move.
From what I remember of the image quality and art style, it was definitely mid-1990s. Also the vampire guy had neck-length white hair and a dark cloak.
resolved Mecha anime where the mecha is armor for the giant pilot Anime
I only saw a clip of it as described in title. There was a mecha in a hangar and it opened up more like armor revealing the pilot was a giant woman. I think it was discussed in the comments for the clip the pilot can also shrink down to normal size.
resolved Anime web series where people went into a shop and got sent to a surreal world Anime
So there's this anime I watched some years ago, probably made as a web animation officially posted on Youtube ect. It was relatively recent, likely from the early 2020s or possibly late 2010s.
The concept was about a woman running a shop, I think she was a witch or similar magic user, and each episode would have a new person come into her shop (either seeking it out or somehow finding it in weird places) and get sent to some kind of surreal world that would represent things about their life/current situation or something? I think each episode/world was also set to a different song with little to no dialogue from the characters. Pretty sure it had about 6-8 episodes.
resolved BNHA live action Anime
I remember seeing a video on Twitter about a BNHA-inspired live action sequence. In that video is a fight scene between two characters, and one of them has the ability to swap himself with an object, and fights by throwing around his backpack. Does anyone know where I can watch the whole thing?

Edited by dutchguy1986resolved Anime about Killer Plants Anime
I remember watching this one anime about a group of survivors going up against these killer plants after they woken up too early from hyper sleep before the monster plants can even be taken care of.
I remember the plot but...I don't know the name.
resolved A guy turns into a monster when kissing a girl and chomps her in half. Anime
There's this rather old anime. I remember a scene where a seemingly Ordinary High-School Student is kissing a girl on a park bench. The screen fades to black and moments later unfades to a view of the bloody lower half of the girl's body. Then the guy's view pans to hos hands turned into hideous claws. Switch to a view of him now as hideous bulky creature. As he exclaims "What the hell is this?" the upper half of the girl falls out of his mouth.
Edited by sohibilresolved Romance Anime (solved) Anime
The anime is about a girl who falls in love with a Gentle Giant after he saves her from an sexual assault (I think).
Edited by StalkerGamerresolved An anime that starts with a nameless student getting ran over Anime
I only saw the first episode, after which I got sidetracked by another show that was coming out at the time, and now that I've been reminded of it, I can't for the life of me remember what the series was called or what the actual premise was.
All I remember is that it heavily involves (if not outright revolves around) an Absurdly Powerful Student Council, and, early in the first episode, there's a scene where a random student is shown taking some apparently incriminating photos, only to be unceremoniously ran over by someone who was either a member of or was hired by said Student Council, all so they could retrieve and destroy said photos.
Edited by HyperKunoichiresolved White haired guy with psychic headaches (solved) Anime
I watched a fairly mature anime (there was smoking, drinking, blood, etc) on SBS anywhere from late 90s to the 2000s. Key points I remember:
- This woman goes to this private detective-type to find her brother
- The brother has white hair and he was having these massive headaches that cause him to kill people with Psychic Powers against his will
- When confronting the brother another guy takes off a cloak(?) and he is a man in military uniform with white hair. The military man reveals that the brother is actually a clone of him and he was sort guinea pig for the process for giving Psychic Powers. The military man boasts that the experiments on the clone allowed him to have the powers without the headaches
edit: found it, Goku: Midnight Eye II - sequel to Goku: Midnight Eye
Edited by jormis29resolved Anime about fairies. Anime
What I remember of this one is that it was an anime about this small chibi fairies that helped human kids on their problems (it was not FOP). The male fairy had what looked like a blue pajama and his hat looked like Kirby's Bomb hat in the old games and the female fairy had pink hair.
Update: Solved as well. Answer was Mirumo de Pon.
Edited by megagutsmanresolved *This anime thanked international fans for piracy* (SOLVED) Anime
I can’t remember the name, but I remember reading Wikipedia a while back and this page was about an anime that was "too good to last".
It mentioned how I the last episode, the crew thanked all the people outside of Japan that watched it illegally. All I remember is that it’s from the 2000s.
Edited by TropeFanaticFanresolved Fighting on a cake (solved) Anime
I remember a scene of an anime about a 2 guys fighting over a cake...literally on a giant cake.
And I remember one has the power to transform sugar into electricity.
Edited by ElBuenCuateresolved Angelique Anime
An anime with a ridiculously, RIDICULOUSLY long title. I don't remember much, but the protagonist is a girl called Angelique. There was also a white haired guy with heterochromia that, with the exception of his eye color, looked exactly like her lost love interest (he had brown eyes). Angelique is chosen to a mission involving building/reconstructing an universe or something similar (as I said, I don't remember much) but didn't want to. Then something happened that made her change her mind.
Edited by Linfiaresolved old anime Anime
Okay this is a long shot but I'm talking about an English dubbed anime I watched in the Netherlands at some some point in the early nineties, though it is probably older than that. It is about a spaceship captain who has a ring that can somehow supercharge the weapons of the ship but it can be used once a day, one episode they used energy from the energies to make it look he was using his ring and scare the enemies of though that apparently almost caused the weapons to overheat and explode. Also in the opening the captain talks about how his best friend was kidnapped and brainwashed into becoming the villains'leader.
I don't know what the dub name is but I saw a clip for the aforementioned anime on youtube but tvtropes doesn't appear to have a main page for it. Is this the right page to ask about this?
