openHumanoid fox/BigBadWolf in a pink suit inside a hut on fire Anime
Believe it or not, this was one of my first exposures to anime (back in the late 90's, many Italian regional channels aired old anime series from the 80's regardless of their actual demographic target). Being gifted (and cursed) with photografic memory, one of those scenes which got stuck in my head was about some kind of isekai anime which had a fox (or another canine animal) disguised as the grandmother from Little Red Riding Hood (on second thought, it was probably a series based on Western fairy tales). For some reason, said fox got trapped in a (burning) hut and there was shot from the outside with the fox angrily staring at the camera through the window. Perhaps it was a wolf and my 3-year old self mistook it for a fox because of the fur appearing red.
openPress-ganged into Doing a Hero Show (SOLVED) Anime
Mid-2010s or later. Most likely Manga Time Kirara style.
I only watched the first episode or two. In the first one, the Four-Girl Ensemble go to a department store for some reason, but they get strong-armed into putting on a Tokusatsu show on the rooftop. It had a little stage with an audience full of kids, and the roof was surrounded by a chainlink fence like on a typical Japanese high school. I think the girls are aspiring actresses or something, and this is what lets the main character overcome her stage fright.
I thought it was either Hinako Note or Maesetsu, but it's not either of those as far as I can tell.
Edit: It was episode 4 of Aho Girl. I think I got it confused with Maesetsu or something too.
Edited by WarriorsGateopenManga where people stand on boxes Anime
I think it was an anime about a manga artist. At one point there were concerns about character heights- some characters who were supposed to be short would sometimes appear to be as tall as others.
The answer, was to make the characters carry boxes around that they stand on. In panels where they're taller, it's because they're standing on boxes.
resolved A guy turns into a monster when kissing a girl and chomps her in half. Anime
There's this rather old anime. I remember a scene where a seemingly Ordinary High-School Student is kissing a girl on a park bench. The screen fades to black and moments later unfades to a view of the bloody lower half of the girl's body. Then the guy's view pans to hos hands turned into hideous claws. Switch to a view of him now as hideous bulky creature. As he exclaims "What the hell is this?" the upper half of the girl falls out of his mouth.
Edited by sohibilopenAnime about a pigtailed girl getting slaved away by a family of geeks Anime
I remember seeing this anime video on Facebook about this pigtailed girl acting as a slave for this family of geeks and they were making her do all of the household work until this woman on a motorbike comes crashing into the dining room.
What's the anime called?
Edited by C6-E9openSci-fi Anime Anime
When I was a young teen I was on holiday in Rome and I caught an episode of an anime series in the hotel my family was staying at. In it the crew of a ship are making a voyage towards a far away planet that two of the characters seem to worship or just hold sacred, because they both clasped their hands and knelt at it.
The episode ended with the crew falling unconscious during the journey with what was presumably a ominous voice over (It was either subbed or dubbed into Italian but either way I didn't understand it) playing over shots of their unconscious bodies and the planet.
Any of this sound familiar to anyone?
openNobody here but paintings: cartoon in art museum Anime
Seen in the 1990's,Cartoon network? The hero of the cartoon hides inside famous paintings in a museum, disguising like parts of them. I thought it was I Am Weasel but scrolling through the episodes I do not find it. Whole scene evolves beautifully around this trope: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NobodyHereButUsStatues Thank you for helping! Love to see it again and show it to my kids.
Edited by hethaliaopenGod Awful Herb "High Fantasy" Anime
There were like four girls who were named after the herbs from the Scaboroughfair song, the blue one is pretty sexist and controlling. The writers feel like they are very drunk women supremacists. One character who's trans gives a textbook definition of trans. Another trans character is portrayed as "well you must be trans if you like dressing as a girl".The short blonde is an absolute ray of sunshine, and a purple-haired girl whose haircut defies gravity seems to like murder. Also, there's a catgirl thief who has a bell for some reason (wouldn't that make thievery harder?). I think there were these three ladies who were supposed to emulate the triple goddess of witchcraft Hecate, but they each felt like 1/6 of a decent "quirky" character. WHY DOES THIS EXIST??!!
openAnime about children being abducted by supernatural entity (Solved) Anime
I only remember this show from promos that ran on [adult swim] during the mid-to-late 2000s, I don't think the show actually aired, It may have been a web-exclusive or OVA.
It opened with a with a girl saying, and I'm paraphrasing since this was very long time ago, "It's like a big game of hide-and-seek...Children are going to start to disappear." It then showed a bunch of clips from the show. It showed a bunch of kids, all of whom appeared to wearing Noh-masks. It also show this thing that looked like a dragon or guardian lion, that I assumed was the thing responsible for the mentioned disappearances. It was set in a very urban-looking environment, and looked very dark, maybe with a red tinge.
I saw this as a child and it always stuck with me.
Edit: It's Kakurenbo.
Edited by datadoggieeinopenTongue trauma Anime
Basically It was an anime I use to watch about a slice of life of group of girls where the leader female character always get slapstick violence. The only specific scene I remember that happen exactly it was one where she bite her tongue by accident and start to comically throbbing(something like what happen to Gotenks in one episode) maybe because some tongue twister or hot/spicy drink/food. She had brown hair and was a student who use to be not so smart or something like that. The animation was something like little witch academia(cartoony sometimes, exgagereted expressions, adrenaline and painfully slapstick) but it's not the same anime. Nope, it is not nichijou or the other anime who looks like Nichihou but with red uniform. Another thing I remember is that it may be old, like one of those 90/80 animes, so probably it is not so remembered.
openAnime where an aquatic girl (mermaid?) kills a guy in a water tank Anime
Years ago (definitely before 2012), I caught a brief fragment of some anime on TV; I don't know if it was a series, a movie, or an OVA.
The scene, set late at night, depicts a man (I think he was your typical teenage anime protagonist) sneaking into some sort of a research lab. He enters a room with a large water tank, inside of which is a beautiful girl (possibly a mermaid? Some water-breathing being, at least). He climbs into the water tank and dives down, clearly expecting the aquatic girl to be friendly. They both look at each other for a moment in what looks like a touching scene, then the girl suddenly opens her mouth, revealing a set of sharp teeth, and the water fills with blood.
Can anyone identify what the anime was?
Edited by KorodzikopenA shoujo manga about a high school student working for a fashion designer?? Anime
And no, just to make sure it is not Paradise Kiss, just want to make that clear ^^'
Anyway what I remember is that it lasted for like 5 volumes I think?
The plot was a high school girl who started working as an apprentice to a fashion designer guy, and they fall in love along the way. I know sounds pretty generic, but if it helps I do remember that the guy was a pretty boy, like almost feminine looking and the age gap wasn't that big, i seem to remember the protagonist was already in her graduating year and he was at most in his mid twenties and the guy was actuallypretty decent when he realized he liked her he actually tried to keep his distance, but you this is a romance shoujo so that didn't last lol.
(I'm not 100% sure of this one detail, but I think they had a bit of a Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy dynamic.)
One scene I do remember clearly was that the guy, as her boss pretty much forced her to not work when she was having her exams, so she could focus on her studies, and when she was done with it and was about to show him her grades he actually yelled at her to get out by mistake, not remembering the exam season was over.
resolved Romance Anime (solved) Anime
The anime is about a girl who falls in love with a Gentle Giant after he saves her from an sexual assault (I think).
Edited by StalkerGameropenManga about a prime minister isekai'd that IS NOT the Seven Prodigies one (solved!) Anime
I remember reading this one manga on mangadex (before the big doxxing incident and exodus onto the new design) that was about the prime minister of an already vaguely medieval kingdom getting isekai'd into another fantasy world and hires an adventurer?/mercenary? to be his guide around town. I PROMISE this is not High School Prodigies Have It Easy Even In Another World, this is why I literally cannot find it with google since the premises in a sentence are too similar.
Other details: I remember the mangadex synopsis having a line that went, almost word for word, "despite the two dudes being drawn in intimate shots, this is NOT BL", the prime minister also fights with a floating gun.
Edited by brohahaopenFanfic search (Ranma/Sailor Moon) (solved!) Anime
A story just popped into my head, one I probably read on www.fanfiction.net (which means searching the story contents via Google is effectively impossible) years ago. I've checked a couple of the story collections I thought it might have been in, with no luck, so I'm turning to here.
The part I remember is that it's a Ranma/Sailor Moon crossover, and one of the last (if not the last) chapters had Nodoka Saotome revealing that she used to be a man and was Ranma's real biological father (Genma was actually completely ignorant of what it took to father a child, having been a practitioner of something that translated as "virgin-fist" or "fist of the virgin" until he met and was corrupted by Happosai), while Setsuna Meiou/Sailor Pluto was Ranma's birth mother (and Ranma responds to both revelations with a big "NOOOOOOOO!!!"). And Setsuna had apparently been causing trouble for Ranma, for a while now, for some reason... up until she met and recognized Nodoka, and realized as a result that Ranma was her long-lost son.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Until next time...

Edited by AnoneMouseJropenPlastic surgery manga with live action movie adaptation Anime
It was a Body Horror/Psychological Horror manga about a beautiful and famous woman who has the huge skeleton in her closet that she got her looks through full-body plastic surgery. I think she was an actress but she might have been an Idol Singer or a model. The viewpoint character was her new assistant. There was also a live action movie based on it.
I know for a fact it has a work page, but I can't find it. I think some more manga by the same author also have pages.
Edited by loserswithwifiopenAnime I can't remember the name of Anime
Didn't get to watch much but lost the show all I remember is an episode where a teacher creates a machine that starts slowly turning all the students into animals but the main characters manage to break the machine fixing everyone. I do know this was one of those summoned to a different world animes and that the main character summons a girl that immediately falls in love with him.
I've been stumped in my attempt to look for a manga. The only thing I could remember from it was a picture of 2 girls and 1 boy in school uniforms (button-up shirts, ribbon, or necktie) holding an apple. The guy looked like your typical male romcom lead, the first girl had bobbed hair and was wearing a plain uniform while the other girl had long black hair and was wearing a hoodie over her uniform, earbuds, and glasses. I have nothing else on this manga and I'm kinda interested in it, so I'd really appreciate if someone could at least the image
