This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

I've tried leaving this place a few times. Just for short breaks. I was never successful. Hell, I'd still be on here all day every day if I had the time.
Also, there's nothing necessarily wrong with being emotionally invested in this place. However, I still understand what you mean, Blam. You shall be missed.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Well, have fun while you're away Outta The BLAM!
As for me, I'm obliged to stay for the entirety of October, but I think after that I'll be taking a break from this site.
I'm probably going to show up even less around here when November comes. I'm joining the swim team and practices start on the second of that month. Said practices are 3 hours long.
I figure, with how fast Updates moves, this would be a good place to mention that I managed to get my internet back.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityYay, Solstace!
"You fail to grasp the basic principles of mad science. Common sense would be cheating." - NarbonicOh, yeah, after I'm done directing my show, I then actually have to do my job for the musical at my school, so I might not be on as much. Busy doing important lights stuff.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Lights are very important, you know. I know, at least.
Ecstasy is Sustained IntensityOh, I do know. I've been doing them for a few years, after all.
I still think it's funny I got a trophy for being the best techie when I'm actually a horrible techie.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."I'm back from Retreat! Did you guys miss me?
You retreated?
I've come crawling back. That was quick, right? Due to complications of mono, the last (?) days in the hospital have been... unpleasant so I'm definitely in need of some cheering up. Here's the best place for it.
Did I miss anything big?
You're looking for this person.Welcome back, BLAM.
We missed you.
月を見るたび思い出せThanks guys! I see others have returned (namely Solstace and Lizard Bite and Bobby G) in my absense. Yay!
You're looking for this person.I'm going to be gone friday, saturday, and sunday. Camping/church retreat.
"You fail to grasp the basic principles of mad science. Common sense would be cheating." - NarbonicI'm going to my state's capital/ the university I plan on going to Friday after school. I'll be back Sunday.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."I never actually went away. I've been stuck home with a cold since Monday, so I've been around quite a lot.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffI think I shall take a week's break.
If I am here before then for anything less than an emergency that would flat-out REQUIRE you all—or to announce further news—please drive me away with pitchforks and torches.
Thank you.
Awww, Charlatan. D:
月を見るたび思い出せNot being distracted by TV Tropes permits me to do badly-needing-of-doing things. Like actually making material for my liveblog instead of reading other people's liveblogs.
Irony will kill me some day, I know it.
Take care, Charlatan.
But Dogs Are Not A Crime, Zudak.
