Yeah, the title explains it. My cobbled together homebrew setting takes place in a world after third impact that caused magic, demihumans, and all that other fun stuff. The citizens, realizing who did it, promoted basically everyone in The series living or dead to the role of god. The primary ones are of course anyone who ever got the *insert number* Child moniker, including Toji. When the "gods" reached old age, the citizens used the last remaining technology to hook them up to a "Golden Throne of the Emperor" system, letting them function like actual gods with blessings and omniscience. Long after they were entombed, a fire wiped out genealogical records. This means that two factions have formed, one an expy for the Catholic church, the other an expy for the combined Protestant churches, who have gone to war over what ultimately amounts to "Shinji/Asuka"'s militants vs. Shinji/Rei militants.

After this loooong-winded explanation, I come to my question. How should I handle making the world sufficiently screwed up to reflect this? Any other fluff you can dream up? And, most importantly, how should I handle blessings and favors on the P Cs?

(Oh, this is my first time actually posting. I don't know if the link system is the same as the general wiki. If anyone needs links, fill in my noob self and I'll provide them.)

Only thing that comes to mind immediately: Misato is absolutely the patron deity of dwarves.
