Quick spoiler guide:

• Use the "show markup help" in the top corner to see the proper formatting: [[spoiler:text]] (I used the "cancle formatting" format to stop it from looking like this: text)
• The importaint parts are not capitalizing the "s," the dubble brackets, and the ":"
• The formating is only good within a single paragraph. If you go onto another paragraph/hit enter, you have to end your current spoiler ("]]") and start another one ("[[spoiler:")

Hope that clears it up. And if your rant has to do with Hype Backlash, I completely understand. I personaly think it is one of the best series of books I have ever read, but I understand YMMV and that there are people out there who take it out of porportion.

What always got to me was that despite claiming to be pragmatic in a fight, Harry always falls for the damsel in distress routine. You think he'd learn by now.

How far have you gotten? All I can say in response is that He Gets Better about that sort of stuff as time goes on. He still calls himself pragmatic, but he is having a hard time convincing even himself that it is true with all the people who tell him otherwise.

^ I finished Changes a long time ago. I remember the shitstorm that started on the forums when some guy started a thread about why using the Darkhallow was the most practical choice out of the 3.

...Ok, I can imagin that storm and will leave it at that.

Started Death Masks earlier. About a third of the way through it.

Hahaha, I love the nerd rage here. Jim Butcher pulled some Joss Whedon shit in the last book.

Oh, no, I was delighted with Changes. Wham Episode to end 'em all. Doesn't stop it being a wee bit... shocking, though.

Must . . . resist . . . urge to buy Changes in hardback instead of waiting . . . for the paperback!

Or, you know, order it at the library. Whatever.

A hardcover edition would make a sizable dent in the wall once you are done.

I swear, someone needs to do a Liveblog of the series. Or at least Changes. And keep track of the HSQ.

Yeah, you'd need someone who hadn't read them to do that.

Though at this rate, by the time they finished Changes it'd almost be time for the next book.

^you say that, but I went ahead and tried doing the first book/chapter anyway. As I said there, I will just stop trying to make it if people think I am not doing a good job. I won't stop trying to get someone else to do it though

Anybody miss Evil harry?

I found evil Harry intresting. But he wasn't exactly what I would call evil, just dark and self centered.

And pragmatic...plus he had an awesome evil goatee. I'm pretty sure he was getting it on with Lash inside his head.

I want to see evil Harry again.

^Nah, he's too badass. If he were in charge Harry would of done the Darkhallow, picked up the coin and wiped a few supernatural nations off the map.
