Right. Really they can do anything they want as long as it’s Bill Farmer as the voice of Goofy and Tony Anselmo as the voice of Donald, rather than some flavor of the week voice actor (and yes, I’m including Don Cheadle) - they made it work in the Chip n Dale movie but it’s non-negotiable here.
That said, they also need good filmmakers… like Daniels or perhaps someone from the animation industry.
But again, this is assuming this rumor is true.

Well, if it were me, and I could choose from anyone, I'd probably look into the anime side of things. But I don't know many of the names from that selection.

Yeah, well assuming Daniel RPK isn’t telling tall tales, I imagine Disney would want it live action. The Japanese director I can see with experience in live action and anime who could probably pull this off is Takashi Yamazaki.
It just occurred to me that I still gotta watch all the Union Cross/Dark Road cutscenes.

Honestly, the best course of action, I now think, would be to hire unknowns to play live action Sora and friends, and then the usual voice actors for Mickey and friends. And then just have the original generation KH characters be the only ones in live action, like the Jungle Book remake.
This extends to any Final Fantasy characters. Make them CGI. Cloud, Tifa, Areith, Cid, and Sephiroth are just their character models from Remake/Rebirth with the same VAs.
That or just bring in the casts from the live action remakes and treat it like the Avengers.
Either way, I’m sure Disney will play it straight and keep to the tone of the games.

Regular Pat has finally ranked the Dream Drop Distance worlds! It's been years, but here it is! He also watched the movies he had not seen prior to ranking them! Also includes if Sora or Riku has the better trip, similar to his BBS world rankings with the Wayfinder Trio.
- 7. The Grid. Possibly his least favorite KH world ever. Still doesn't hate it, though. He nothings it. Sora's trip is better since it has Xemnas, YX, and Rinzler/Tron's plot.
- 6. Country of the Musketeers. Not last place because it's not as tedious to navigate as The Grid. Sora's visit is better. Why this and not Treasure Planet?
- 5. La Cite Des Cloches. Frollo should have been a boss somehow. Riku's visit is better. Too empty, needs an NPC population.
- 4. Prankster's Paradice. Monstro's back, and Pat likes circus-themed levels. Sora's trip is better. Flowmotion actually is fun and makes since here!
- 3. The World That Never Was. Riku's visit is better since it's got all the bosses, even though YX is too hard.
- 2. Symphony of Sorcery. Looks great, sounds great, and somehow managed to adapt an unexpected source. Sora's visit s better, but it's a very close call.
- 1. Traverse Town. This is Regular Pat, KHI fanboy, what else are you expecting? Sora's visit is better.

You know I have been hearing rumors about the problem for Disney and KH when it gets applied. If they have the decency to not add any more Disney/Pixar stuff honestly I don't believe anyone would want that considering Disney and Final Fantasy is the reason Kingdom Hearts has gotten good levels or whatever things you want to say.
Someone had the decently to say MK in KH but that is not going to happen at all. (It sounds ridiculous)

Inasmuch as I would like to see something like Mortal Kombat in KH, I know that it is not a good idea. There is always fanfiction but I agree Kingdom Hearts that it is a crossover between Final Fantasy and Disney.

I have no idea what you’re using “decency” to mean, but at this point most people just sort of see Pixar and non-Pixar Disney Animation as the same family.
