I've always heard the "pitta putta" in "Angels in Flip-Flops" as "peanut butter".

When you don´t know English so well, the Spanish interpretations are hilarious...

The most popular one

The Rhythm of the Night - Corona

Basically we sing it like... "¿Estos son Reebok o son Nike? ¡Son Nike!"

Translation "Are these Reebok or Nike? They are Nike!"

To add salt to the wounds pronounce Nike like "naick..."

Someone already brought up "Your Affection" from Persona 4, but I always heard it as "your affection, your affection, take it from Muffy..."

In Persona 3, there's this heavily accented stock rap music that plays in Iwatodai Dorm. It's "Fuel the fire with a burning desire, yeah!" but I always hear "Do the boogie with a burnt lasagna, yeah!"

The things in my dreams wish they could chase me!

Recently heard a remastered version of Elton John's "Step Into Christmas". Quite a few of the lyrics are more audible, which means several lyrics I've gotten wrong over the years, although nothing major, and they're the sort of misheard lyrics that don't really change the meaning of the song much.

However, one in particular amused me. I always thought he was saying, "Hop aboard the turkey bowl ". Which always made sense to me. Turkey is something often presented during Christmas dinners.

He's actually saying "Hop aboard the turn table ". surprised

In the song "Long Way from Home" by Whitesnake, there's a line that goes "I will drink you dry", but I always misheard it as "I would drink and drive".

Massive Attack’s “Risingson” has “Toy-like people make me boy-like” which sounds way more like “Soy-like wanna make me boy-like” which has a way-different, but still hilarious meaning.

I’m sorry, but you have Stage 9 Animes.

Song: “Top Of The World” by The Carpenters.

Misheard lyric: “All the leaves on the trees and the church of the breeze, There’s a place that sings of happiness for me…”

Actual lyric: “In the leaves on the trees and the touch of the breeze, There's a pleasing sense of happiness for me…”

In the song "A Day Without Me" by U2, the word that I mishear is actually "ego", but it sounds like Bono is singing "e-girl".

[up][up] I gotta say, I always thought she was saying "church" as well.

Anyway, I recently saw the sheet music and lyrics to "Do The Puyallup", the theme song used for The Puyallup Fair (now, Washington State Fair).

The first lyric of the refrain is "You can do it in a trot..."

Ever since I was a kid, I thought it was "You can do it in a truck..." Which still make sense in the context of that part of the song, since it's supposed to represent traveling.
