You know the idea of a D&D crossover set gave me some ideas about some other Tabletop games which...probably won't get the same treatment, but it's the thought I think that counts.

So I think, personally, the Wyrm is Jund. Its followers break up its Jund identity into varying combinations. Here's "just" the big daddy maddened dragon's stuff just so far.

  • The Desecrator Wyrm 2BBRRGG
  • Legendary Creature - Nightmare Dragon
  • Flying, Trample
  • Landfall: when a Land enters the Battlefield under your control, create a 5 / 5 Red Black and Green Dragon creature token with Flying and Devour 3.
  • If you control 3 or more Dragons, any Enters the Battlefield triggers you control trigger an additional time.
  • 10 / 10
  • It desecrates the world and those who live in it.

  • Wyrm Beast of War 3BRG
  • Legendary Creature - Nightmare Dragon
  • Flying, Trample, Deathtouch
  • Whenever a creature dealt damage by this creature dies, put a +1 / +1 counter on this creature. When this creature has 12 or more +1 / +1 counters on it, this creature gains Double Strike.
  • 5 / 5
  • It knows only Destruction and the Violence of War.

  • Wyrm Devourer of Souls BBBRRGG
  • Legendary Creature - Nightmare Dragon
  • Flying, Trample
  • During your upkeep, you may sacrifice a creature. If you do, search your library for any Red Green or Black card and add it to your hand.
  • (2): Sacrifice a creature; you gain X life and draw X cards, where X is that creature's power.
  • 8 / 8
  • It only cares to devour the souls of the world.

  • Wyrmstrike 4(B/R)(R/G)
  • Instant
  • Destroy 2 target creatures with different converted mana costs. Then create a 5 / 5 Red Black and Green Dragon creature token with Flying.
  • Death by the Wyrm is always agonizing, and its servants never take just one.

  • The Stirring of The Wyrm BBBRRRGGG
  • Sorcery
  • Create 5 5 / 5 Red Black and Green Dragon creature tokens with Flying and Devour 3.
  • The stirring of the ancient enemy is the last thing any Werewolf wants to hear.

  • Rites of the Dread-Serpent BRG
  • Instant
  • Sacrifice a creature. Draw 2 cards.
  • Morbid: If you cast this card and a creature died this turn, return this card to your hand after it resolves.

  • Urge Wyrm of Dark Desire 2BR
  • Creature - Spirit Dragon
  • When this creature enters the battlefield, choose target creature your opponent controls - your opponent either puts 2 +1 / +1 counters on that creature or you gain control of it as long as you control this creature.
  • During your opponent's upkeep, they must sacrifice an Untapped Land for each +1 / +1 counter on creatures they control.
  • 2 / 3
  • You know you should not...so do it anyway.

Omnath - WUBRG
Legendary Creature - Elemental
Omnath can't be countered
Protection from colored spells
X, T: Add X mana in any combination of colors to your mana pool.
When Omnath is put into a graveyard from anywhere, its owner shuffles his or her graveyard into his or her library.
5/5

If some of the abilities here remind you of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, yeah, that's deliberate.

I'm pretty sure it's a reference to an old World of Warcraft raid boss that inflicted a contagious debuff as part of the fight. It was supposed to go away when you killed him, but a glitch allowed people's pets to carry and spread it outside of the dungeon, leading to tons of players catching it and dying in safe zones.

Also, is it Hakkar or Hakkon?

NickTheSwing Since: Aug, 2009
#14944: Mar 28th 2021 at 10:19:31 AM

Yeah, that's what it's referencing. Such that basically even if you leave the game you played with Hakkar in it, his plague persists and keeps spreading. I checked and his name indeed was Hakkar the Soulflayer.

Yes it only works in silver border, but I think it more or less perfectly encapsulates the flavor.
