I would support having the "Notable" term removed from all of those pages, as the time for the in-joke has seemingly passed.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's legitimately confusing now, too, as the in-joke is so inside that it doesn't look like a joke to most people.
Those pages actually added greatly to my confusion when I was trying to figure out whether my own webcomic-ish thingy could or should be here. On the one hand, TV Tropes was telling me There Is No Such Thing As Notability, while on the other, all these "Notable" pages seemed to suggest that the former wasn't actually serious and that there is in fact some notability threshold.
Jet-a-Reeno!Well, we need to keep the titles at least as redirects. That list represents a massive list of links to the wiki from offsite.
Goal: Clear, Concise and Witty
There's been discussion over these pages before. There's discussion over them now. The matter is discussed enough that this is not so much a discussion thread as it is a blog about fixing it but for a general overview let's go back to the beginning:
The pages with "Noteworthy" and "Notable" at the front were made in the early days of There Is No Such Thing As Notablity. Some people named some pages such because they were making a list of notable stuff, some people named some other pages (or sometimes the same pages) as a joke "Lol, we haz no notability but we sez notability", some people made some pages for both. It involved about 5 people and 3 orthogonal reasons.
Now, after TV Tropes realised that the Japanese and Film Producers are people too and their tropes should get equal billing, we don't find the joke that relied on reading 3 main pages, a discussion page and discussion pages on another website and then having it explained to you appropriate anymore. We want them all gone but we have to find them.
I know there is Noteworthy Anime, Notable Webcomics and then all of its subpages (Notable Furry Webcomics, Notable Webcomics about Spastic Colons etc.). Where are the rest.
I'd like to go through and strike them out when changes and wicked out.
